Slate Numbers and Nameplates
Lakeland green slate was formed from fine grains of ash ejected from volcanoes over 450 million years ago. The layers of ash were compressed under enormous pressure and heated to great temperatures to form a metamorphic rock we know as slate.
For a long time slate has been used as a building material for walls and roofs but when cut with diamond saws and polished the true beauty of the grain is revealed.
It makes a very attractive natural backplate for house numbers and nameplates which look appropriate on both urban and country properties.
The font used on our slate numbers and nameplates is Times New Roman and is available in upper, lower or mixed case. Just enter the layout you want on out order form.
