Grasmere from Loughrigg Fell antique original oil by Scottish artist Joseph Adam 1858 - 1916
Joseph Adam flourished in the late 19th Century and his paintings were displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy. His more famous son Joseph Deveron Adam owes much of his success as an artist to the apprenticeship given to him by his father.
This lovely painting of Grasmere Lake and Helm Crag was painted on one of the Lake Districts most well loved viewpoints Loughrigg Terrace.
